Wichita Area Technical College (WATC) believes that every person should have the opportunity to find a satisfying career. The Career Services staff (part of Student Success Services) can help you open the door to a successful career.
What is meant by a successful career? A successful career means you are productively employed in a job that you find enjoyable and one that is consistent with your career goals.
Consider these facts from the The Conference Board:
Many people waste years and money due to inappropriate career choices. Before you waste any more of your precious time or money, ask yourself if you need to focus on career planning.
- Have you made career decisions in a careless or lazy manner?
- Have you made career decisions without much thought?
WATC Student Success Services staff can show you a better way to make career decisions — one based on a model of career planning that addresses self-assessment, career information, decision making and goal setting. Contact Laura Rae Barker or BreAnn Collins to learn more about how we can help you with career guidance, Main Campus, 316.677.9400.
